NaNoWriMo 2018
Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 11:44Well hello my lovelies. I'm doing this again!
Except THIS time, I'm NOT doing my novel like I did the last few years. I'm doing a fanfic, and it actually has a deadline in January, because it's for one of those bigbang style things. (A reverse one, where artists post images first and then the writers write something based on image claims.) And I am so stoked and excited! I actually stayed up until 5 am to get the claim because timezones were not in my favor, which was a feat.
OK, so I'm not crazy and I'm not trying to write 50k in one month. So technically I've already failed NaNo in my heart, but I don't use NaNo as a way to achieve an end in itself though. I use it to push my own limits but not to break it, because that'll just in end in abysmal failure. I have a personal goal of around 25k. If I make it great. If I don't, great. It's more of keep yourself moving and working, with possible breaks in between. Maybe. Anyways, I'm still going to use trackers because, dudes, it keeps me motivated! Now if only the Critique Circle one doesn't just go down and die so often during these write-a-thons where people actually use their stuff, that would be grand.
